NCSY Batch Cooks for Ten Yad

On October 28, NCSY organized a Jewish Tour of Ottawa for its students. 20 students participated in the jam-packed program, which began at “Kosher” Loblaws with an explanation of kashrut by Rabbi Levy Teitelbaum, Director of the Ottawa Vaad HaKashrut and ended with the students travelling to the NCSY Centre in Centrepointe, where they baked lasagnas and cupcakes for Ten Yad. Debbie Scharf, Vice-Chair of Ten Yad, spoke to the students about the impact of Ten Yad in Ottawa and who would be benefiting from the meals they were making that day. Ten Yad co-sponsored the costs of making the meals.
